Eat like your grandparents did
No synthetic pesticides, no GMOs, no kidding
The local food movement promotes social justice, addressing food insecurity and environmental justice. Local food opens up access to quality, affordable food for those who may not afford supermarket prices. Decreasing the distance between farmers and consumers helps reduce CO2 emissions and the food system’s current dependence on non-renewable energy sources.
INTEGRATED FARM SYSTEMS
Each operation on the farm supports the others, integrating production to focus on whole-system cycling, mimicking nature and enhancing ecological processes. Integrating our crop and livestock operations helps us maximize outputs with minimum inputs.
We take a holistic approach to land management with the aim to build healthy soil, enhance and develop biodiversity, and use the power of photosynthesis in plants to naturally sequester CO2.
